What is the Fractional AI Architect?

Structurally involved as a senior partner: assessing opportunities, guarding the architecture, building critical parts and guiding your team. Usually the follow-up to a Sprint or a Build, not something you start with.

What the Fractional AI Architect is and is not.

Works well if

Something is already running, from a Sprint, a Build or your own work.
Your team can build, but has nobody who guards the architecture and the order of things.
You want a fixed point of contact without a full-time hire.

This is not

Not an agency with a bench full of people, but one person, two to four days a month.
It is not a starting point: if you do not yet know what is needed, the Scan or the Sprint is the first step.
Not open-ended, but a minimum of three months and cancellable monthly after that.

How does it work?

Fixed days in the month, a fixed agenda and a fixed point of contact. Whatever comes up in between, I pick up on the next day.

A fixed monthly price for two or four days, three months minimum. Below it, what can come before.

04 · What people want to know

Any questions?

The questions that always come up, with short answers. If yours is not here, a half-hour call is the fastest route.

Two or four days: how do I choose?

Two days if the work is mostly guarding and assessing. Four if there is also building to do or a team to guide. You can switch monthly.

Can I scale up or down in between?

Yes, per month: the first three months are fixed, after that you can switch or stop every month.

Do you work on site or remotely?

Mostly remotely, with a fixed day on site if the team benefits from it.

What if little is going on in a month?

Then I use the days for what keeps getting put off: reviews, documentation, the boring things that make the difference. Days cannot be saved up, but they can be moved.

Who keeps the overview

Sees the whole picture while the team builds.

I have seen too many AI systems slowly silt up after delivery. Nobody guards the architecture, every new question starts from zero, and after a year nobody dares touch it. Two to four days a month is enough to stay ahead of that: keeping the overview, pinning down the choices, and building the parts where it gets tricky.
